Vision of AI Scientists, Practitioners & Madam Curie

 First, Due respect to the scientific community, researchers, of Computer Science and allied branches, the Nobel Laureates, of India and abroad :) the best example of Hard work and perseverance is , my opinion, Mrs. Madame Curie, born on 7 Nov 1867, the most revered Scientists, of all times, who died proving her theory of radioactivity. She and her husband Mr. Pierre Curie together won 5 Nobel Prizes... and she was the first lady to win this prestigious award... and first woman Faculty to join the University of Paris.

With reference to the previous two introductory post, now we are beginning to enter the vast ocean of AI and this is just a novice attempt, your suggestions and comments are more than welcome..

So talking about AI, it's progress  from LISP to Metaverse and as we already know, we're at the tip of iceberg,  because people/scientists/engineers/other technical roles and including Academia, Startups, and there are following basic catalysts here, 

1. Reach and easy use of technology

2. Interest/ passion to address concern, use of technology

3. Innovative approach to use technology

4. generating revenues out of such initiatives

So basically we are trying to find solutions... for some, solution to a 1tb of flat files can be data analytics... for some, there can be a great application addressing video processing, reading number plates of passing vehicles (eg fastag), for some we have the whole field of Data Science, to address predictions related to financial domain/stocks/ banking sector/ Data modeling and simulation...

For others it can take a leap of faith in having healthcare analytics, trusting the software along with the doctor /medical practitioner. And lastly augmented reality/virtual reality, which are getting popular as we read this.

So coming back to applications of AI, it is ranging from Google Search Engine Results, speech based search, image based search, it is analytics, predictions, classification, clustering, giving users unique experience, an example of Image processing being implemented and getting accepted from a large user base is that of lenskart.com, they have latest AI image Processing techniques where users who want eye glasses can upload their face image on their website/app and then users can try and see all combinations of spectacles applied on their face, which they would like to consider buying.

So this increases the experience quotient among users and then they end up buying those spectacles.

So we also have Amazon Alexa, who can do anything to amuse us, recite news, songs, alarm etc etc. It also helps us in sync the AC, microwave oven, Smart TV, etc etc to work on our instructions.

Now these are some examples of AI applications.

Given below are the basic examples / domains of AI:

3. Data Science

4. Machine learning

5. Deep Learning

6. Artificial Neural Networks

5. Human Computer Interaction

7. Speech Recognition

8. Genetic Algorithms

9. Automated reasoning

10. Image Processing

Now, there are many software/ environments used for development of AI applications, primarily they are:

1. Python

2. R 

3. MATLAB

4. Tensorflow

5. Anaconda

6. Jupiter

These are all collective platforms, primarily based on Python, other than R and MATLAB.

And there are premium versions of software like: Microsoft Power BI and others.

Most importantly we should also showcase what we learn, develop, teach, so these platforms are:

1. GitHub

2. LinkedIn

Note: At age of 12-14 i had read about her life (Madam Curie), journey to her goal, despite her routine, despite her family needs, no doubt supportive husband, but she used to do her laundry by herself, clean house by herself and cook, obviously. So I literally believe that we just have roadblocks in our lives but more in our mentality, which holds us back. Yes, i do also have my own set of hinderances, so no body's perfect.. but yes, to strive for something we want, is in our hands...

On a light note, I will, in this blog and upcoming ones, a section totally unique, not technical, can be music, interests, sketching, hobbies, etc etc...!!

Today's thought: 

We're all unique, travellers of our own journey.... there's no relativity/ comparison with others.....so we enjoy the views of others as well as solitude... feel comfortable in our skin.. :) and let life happen.

Next with you will be glimpse of expert systems...whom some people consider are like dinasours... which existed once... but I believe that this is the building block of AI ... And conversational AI/chatbots  to me is a form of Expert System.
